On May 14, 2003 U.S. Department of $255 billion - with guaranteed highway funding totaling $237 billion, an increase of the program of 38 percent over TEA-21 guaranteed funding levels - and would provide transit authorizations of $217.4 billion for the portion of Transportation (DOT) Secretary Norman Mineta unveiled the 21st Century (TEA-21). The Safe, Accountable, Flexible and Efficient Transportation Equity Act of reauthorize the total six-year $247 billion federal surface transportation investment program.
